Tucked into the mountains of Manali, the ShivAdya Collection is home to two boutique properties with very different personalities. ShivAdya sits in Karjan Village, a quiet heritage-style retreat built around slow mornings, warm hospitality, and mountain views. Hamta 270°, our second property in Sethan Valley, is a luxury all-suites hideaway named for its uninterrupted 270-degree panorama of the Himalayas. Both properties are independently owned and run by a second-generation hospitality family with three decades of experience hosting travelers across North India. We’re currently ranked #2 and #3 rated in our category locally, built entirely on word of mouth, genuine hospitality, and guests who leave feeling like they found somewhere special. Now we want the world to see what our guests already know.
About the Opportunity
We’re looking for one volunteer to help the founders tell this story properly, across both properties. You’ll spend time on the ground at ShivAdya and Hamta 270°, capturing the everyday magic that’s hard to describe but easy to feel once you’re here: the light hitting the valley at sunrise, the details in every room, the food, the people, the mountains doing what mountains do. This isn’t a content mill request. You’ll be working closely with the founders themselves, shaping how two growing hospitality brands show up on social media, from reels and photography to short films that actually capture the feeling of being here, not just what it looks like.
What We’re Looking For
- Video editing and shooting skills (reels, short-form content)
- Photography, ideally with an eye for composition and natural light
- Some filmmaking or storytelling instinct, someone who thinks in scenes, not just shots
- A genuine interest in hospitality, travel, or mountain culture
- Comfortable working across two properties and adapting to each one’s distinct identity
What You Get
- Stay and immerse yourself in two of Manali’s most distinct boutique properties
- Direct creative collaboration with the founders, not a brief handed down from a marketing team
- A real portfolio built around a story worth telling
- Mountain life, good food, and a small, close-knit team
If you’ve got a camera, an eye, and a bit of patience for mountain weather and mountain time, we’d love to have you.
